First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested a new powered prosthetic knee (Power Knee) in 17 adults with a leg amputation above the knee. Participants tried both the Power Knee and their usual knee to compare how much effort they felt when walking. The goal was to see if the powered knee reduces exertion and improves daily activities like walking on stairs and sitting down.
