Scientists try to see hidden pregnancy vessels after birth
NCT ID NCT07422181
Summary
This study is testing whether a special type of ultrasound can be used to see tiny blood vessels in the uterus right after a baby is born. These vessels, called spiral arteries, are crucial for a healthy pregnancy but have never been seen directly before. Researchers hope that learning to see them after delivery will help them find problems earlier in future pregnancies, potentially preventing serious complications like pre-eclampsia.
