First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 34 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a combination of pelvic floor exercises and cold therapy (cryotherapy) can reduce pain and improve recovery for first-time mothers who had a tear or cut during vaginal delivery. About 82 women will be randomly assigned to receive either standard care or standard care plus the physiotherapy protocol. The goal is to see if this extra treatment helps with pain, healing, and quality of life in the months after birth.
