New therapy tested to ease pain after childbirth
NCT ID NCT07170007
Summary
This study is testing a physical therapy program designed to help women recover from tears or cuts in the area between the vagina and anus that can happen during a first vaginal birth. Researchers want to see if adding pelvic floor muscle exercises and cold therapy to standard care is better at reducing pain and improving recovery. The study will involve 82 first-time mothers and compare the new program to usual care over six months.
