First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at two common blood pressure drugs, nifedipine and enalapril, to see if they work equally well in controlling high blood pressure after childbirth. About 850 women who have high blood pressure during or before pregnancy will be randomly assigned to one of the two medicines. The main goal is to see how many women need to be readmitted to the hospital for blood pressure problems, helping doctors choose the best treatment.
