Shorter time for Post-Birth bleeding balloon? study tests 6 vs 18 hours
NCT ID NCT04467996
Summary
This study aims to find out if a balloon device used to stop severe bleeding after childbirth works just as well when left in for 6 hours instead of the usual 18 hours. Researchers are comparing the two time periods in 64 women who experience this type of bleeding. The goal is to see if the shorter time controls bleeding equally well while potentially allowing mothers to go home sooner and feel less pain.
