Shorter treatment for Post-Birth bleeding? study tests 6 vs. 18 hours

NCT ID NCT04467996

Summary

This study aims to find the shortest effective time a special balloon needs to stay in the uterus to control dangerous bleeding after childbirth. Researchers are comparing a 6-hour treatment to the standard 18-hour treatment in 64 women. They want to see if the shorter time works just as well to stop bleeding and if it helps mothers recover faster with less pain and better bonding with their baby.
