New hope: drug combo after transplant may keep childhood leukemia at bay

NCT ID NCT05796570

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving two drugs (decitabine and filgrastim) after a stem cell transplant can safely prevent cancer from coming back in children and young adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), or related blood cancers. About 37 participants will receive the drug combination for up to 6 cycles. The main goal is to see if this treatment plan is practical and well-tolerated, with a secondary focus on survival without relapse.
