New hope for rare skin cancer: Post-Transplant drug aims to stop relapse

NCT ID NCT07178457

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 41 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving the drug brentuximab vedotin after a stem cell transplant can prevent early relapse in people with advanced cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). About 84 adults aged 18-70 with CD30-positive mycosis fungoides who have had at least one prior treatment and are in remission after transplant will be randomly assigned to receive the drug or a placebo. The goal is to see if this approach improves how long patients live without their cancer returning.
