Summary

This study looks at whether a structured physical therapy program after emergency abdominal surgery helps patients aged 65 and older regain their independence and strength. About 250 participants will be followed for up to 90 days after leaving the hospital. The goal is to see if this approach improves daily function and muscle strength compared to usual care.
