Summary

This study tests whether a structured physical therapy program after emergency abdominal surgery helps patients aged 65 and older regain their independence. About 250 participants will receive either standard care or additional physiotherapy. The goal is to see if the program improves daily living activities, muscle strength, and recovery up to 90 days after leaving the hospital.
