Summary

This study looked at whether rinsing the mouth with water after abdominal surgery helps reduce thirst discomfort and improve comfort and bowel movements. 98 adults who had elective abdominal surgery took part. The results showed that oral rinsing can be a simple, safe way to ease thirst and increase comfort after surgery.
