First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at a program to help older adults get tested and treated for osteoporosis after breaking a bone. Many people don't realize a fracture can be a warning sign of weak bones, and without care, they are at high risk for more breaks. The program notifies doctors and patients about the need for bone density testing and treatment. Over 4,200 men and women aged 50 and older with hip, spine, arm, or wrist fractures are taking part.
