New stent study aims to ease pain and improve life for cancer patients with blocked liver veins
NCT ID NCT04629677
Summary
This study is looking at the safety and effects of placing a small tube (stent) to prop open a blocked vein that leads to the liver in patients with gastrointestinal cancers. Researchers want to see if this procedure helps keep the vein open, improves patients' nutrition and liver function, and makes them feel better overall. They will compare results between patients who get the stent and similar patients who do not.
