French study tracks port wine stains in kids to uncover hidden risks

Summary
This study followed 150 children aged 2 to 12 with a port wine stain on a leg to learn how these birthmarks change as kids grow and what complications might arise, such as vein or bone problems. Researchers also looked for genetic links and measured quality of life. The goal was to better understand and manage this condition, not to test a treatment.
