First seen May 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a new device that flattens colon polyps before they are examined under a microscope. The goal is to help doctors better identify sessile serrated lesions, a type of polyp that can lead to colorectal cancer. About 1,156 adults having polyps removed during a colonoscopy will take part. The device is meant to improve accuracy and catch more precancerous growths.
