First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding daily Air Quality Index (AQI) information to standard asthma action plans helps children ages 8-17 better control their asthma. About 351 kids with asthma will be split into groups receiving either EPA-AQI, commercial AQI, or standard education. Researchers will track asthma control scores and quality of life over 48 weeks, and also look at nasal gene changes in children who report being sensitive to air pollution.
