Could two vaccines be given at once? new study in infants aims to find out

NCT ID NCT06331156

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study tested whether giving the polio vaccine (IPV) at the same time as a rotavirus vaccine is safe and triggers a strong immune response in healthy infants aged 6-10 weeks. About 400 Chinese infants received either the vaccines together or separately. The goal is to see if co-administration works as well as separate shots, which could simplify vaccination schedules.
