NCT ID NCT04900935

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study is testing a new supportive care program called POISE for people with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer who are on targeted therapy. The program includes four visits with a specially trained palliative care clinician to help patients cope with uncertainty and manage their cancer. Researchers want to see if the program is practical and acceptable, and whether it reduces distress and improves patients' confidence and understanding of what to expect. About 70 participants will be randomly assigned to receive POISE or usual care.
