Summary
This pilot study is testing whether eating one pound of fermented poi every day for four weeks can improve the balance of good bacteria in the body and lower the risk of gestational diabetes. The study involves 50 pregnant women between 10 and 24 weeks of pregnancy. Participants receive poi and nutrition tips via text, and their health is compared to similar women from an earlier study.
