Poetry therapy aims to bring peace to dying LGBTQ+ cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06293456

Summary

This study is testing whether a special type of talk therapy called 'poetic dignity therapy' is practical and helpful for LGBTQ+ cancer patients nearing the end of life. The therapy helps patients tell their life stories and create a meaningful poem or document to share with loved ones. Researchers are working with 15 patients to see if this approach improves their sense of meaning and purpose.
