Ultrasound tool for Crohn's disease studied, but trial cut short
NCT ID NCT07157436
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looked at using a simple ultrasound (POCUS) to check on Crohn's disease in the small intestine, instead of an MRI. Researchers wanted to see if doctors and patients thought it was useful and to create a guide for hospitals to use it. The study was stopped early and only included 4 people, so the results are very limited.
