Gene hunt: could your DNA predict fatty liver risk?
NCT ID NCT07330830
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at how certain gene changes (PNPLA3) affect fatty liver disease in 600 adults from Guadeloupe, French Guiana, and Réunion Island. Researchers will collect blood samples to find which gene versions are common and how they relate to liver damage. The goal is to better understand genetic risks, not to test a new treatment.
