First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a therapy called proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) can help people with Parkinson's disease improve trunk mobility, walking, fear of falling, and quality of life. 42 people with mild to moderate Parkinson's took part. The therapy uses specific stretching and movement patterns to improve muscle control and coordination. The goal was to see if this approach could reduce fall risk and enhance daily function.
