Summary
This study tested the safety and immune response of two pneumococcal vaccines (20vPnC and 13vPnC) in Chinese adults aged 50 and older who had never received a pneumococcal vaccine before. Four hundred participants received one dose of either vaccine and were monitored for six months to check for side effects and measure their immune response. The goal was to gather initial safety data to help determine if these vaccines are suitable for this population.
