First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at why fluid builds up around the lungs in people with advanced chronic kidney disease (stages 3 to 5). Researchers will collect a small sample of chest fluid and blood from 100 adults to compare different diagnostic methods. The goal is to find the most accurate way to tell whether the fluid is caused by simple fluid overload or by infection or inflammation, helping doctors choose the right treatment.
