First seen Apr 08, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested two fun, non-drug methods to reduce anxiety in children (ages 5-12) and their parents before surgery. One group used bubble breathing play therapy, and the other used a tell-show-do approach with play dough and kaleidoscopes. The goal was to see if these playful distractions could lower anxiety levels measured just before the operation.
