First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looked at whether structured play activities can lower anxiety in children aged 4-10 receiving chemotherapy and their parents. 62 children and their parents took part in recreational play alongside regular care. Anxiety levels were measured before and after the play session using child-friendly and parent anxiety scales. The goal was to see if simple, non-drug play can improve emotional well-being during cancer treatment.
