Blood platelet injections could make braces work faster
NCT ID NCT07408895
Summary
This study tested whether injections made from a patient's own blood platelets could help teeth move faster during orthodontic treatment. Researchers compared two types of platelet injections in 21 young adults who were getting braces and had teeth removed as part of their treatment. Using a split-mouth design where one side received the injection and the other didn't, they measured how quickly the canine teeth moved over time.
