Blood plasma injections could shorten braces treatment time

NCT ID NCT07408895

Summary

This study tested whether injections made from a patient's own blood platelets could speed up tooth movement during orthodontic treatment. Researchers compared two types of platelet injections (PRP and PRF) in young adults wearing braces who needed to close gaps after tooth extractions. The goal was to see if these injections could make the tooth-moving process faster, potentially reducing the overall time people need to wear braces.
