Summary
This study tested whether placing preterm or low birth weight newborns in plastic bags during their first hour after birth helps prevent hypothermia (dangerously low body temperature). Researchers compared standard warming care alone to standard care plus a plastic bag covering the baby's body and part of the head. The goal was to see if this simple, low-cost method could keep more babies warm in hospitals with limited resources.
