Summary
This study tested two common physical therapy techniques to see which works better for relieving chronic heel pain from plantar fasciitis. Researchers compared instrument-assisted soft tissue massage (IASTM) against foam rolling, with both groups also doing structured exercises. The goal was to find out which approach more effectively reduces pain and improves walking ability and ankle movement.
