Summary
This study compared two common physical therapy techniques for treating chronic heel pain from plantar fasciitis. Researchers tested whether instrument-assisted massage or foam rolling, when added to standard exercises, was better at reducing pain and improving foot function. The trial involved 56 adults with heel pain lasting over a month to see which approach provided more relief.
