Summary
This study looked at whether plant-based protein (soy and rice blend) works as well as animal-based protein (whey) for building lean muscle in elite male youth soccer players. Twenty-five players aged 16 to 18 took a protein drink after training for 4 weeks. Researchers measured changes in muscle mass and body fat using body scans and measurements.
