First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether actively caring for plants (like watering and pruning) can improve mental health and academic performance in college students. About 87 students will either care for plants on campus, at home, or have no plant care duties. Over 16 weeks, they will complete surveys measuring stress, mood, sleep, and study habits to see if plant engagement makes a difference.
