Can a special oat drink boost immunity and health in seniors?
NCT ID NCT07409480
Summary
This study is testing a specially designed oat-based beverage, fortified with vitamin D, zinc, and other nutrients, to see if it can improve nutritional status and support the immune system in older adults. Researchers will enroll 70 participants aged 60-80 and have them drink either the fortified beverage or a placebo daily for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if the drink reduces markers of inflammation in the blood, with secondary checks on muscle health, gut bacteria, and overall well-being.
