Can placental tissue help heal stubborn wounds? new trial seeks answers

NCT ID NCT07364630

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special wound covering made from donated placental membrane can help heal diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers that won't close with standard care alone. About 50 adults with diabetes or vein problems will receive either standard wound care plus the placental product or standard care alone. The main goal is to see if more ulcers fully close within 12 weeks.
