Summary
This study aimed to better understand preeclampsia, a serious high-blood-pressure condition in pregnancy. Researchers compared placenta and umbilical cord tissue from 39 women with preeclampsia to tissue from 39 women with normal pregnancies. They measured specific proteins to see if their levels were linked to the health of the newborns.
