Landmark study seeks to protect mothers from dangerous pregnancy complication
NCT ID NCT02010229
Summary
This study aimed to understand how to better care for pregnant women at high risk for placenta accreta, a condition where the placenta grows too deeply into the uterine wall. Researchers followed over 600 women to see which factors in their care led to better health outcomes, especially in preventing severe bleeding after birth. The study also measured how often this condition occurs and assessed its emotional impact on mothers up to a year after delivery.
