First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a gentle brain stimulation technique (tDCS) can reduce pain in women with fibromyalgia, and whether people who are more responsive to placebos get better results. 100 women received either real or fake stimulation. The goal was to see if targeting the motor cortex can help ease symptoms like pain and fatigue.
