Can IVF help families break the cycle of inherited kidney disease?

NCT ID NCT07310641

Summary

This study looked at how well a special type of IVF works for couples where one or both partners carry a gene for polycystic kidney disease (PKD). Researchers followed 44 couples who used IVF combined with genetic testing of embryos to try to have a baby that does not inherit the disease. They tracked pregnancy success, birth rates, and any health complications during the process to understand the outcomes for these families.
