Can IVF help families avoid inheriting kidney disease?

NCT ID NCT07310641

Summary

This study looked at how well IVF with genetic testing works for couples where one or both partners carry polycystic kidney disease (PKD). Researchers followed 44 couples who used this method to try to have a baby without passing on the disease. They tracked pregnancy success, birth rates, and any complications to see if outcomes differed based on which parent carried the disease gene.
