Heart procedure or just pills? major trial seeks best strategy for clogged arteries

Summary
This study compares two approaches for people with chronic coronary syndrome (narrowed heart arteries): a procedure to open the arteries plus medication, versus medication alone. About 2,300 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups, and researchers will track heart attacks, deaths, and the need for further procedures over time. The goal is to see if adding the procedure improves outcomes compared to medication alone.
