Temporary crowns may boost gum looks after implant surgery
NCT ID NCT03792425
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tested whether placing a temporary crown (temporization) improves the pink esthetic score (gum appearance) after a delayed dental implant with a connective tissue graft in people with thin gums. Sixteen adults with a missing front tooth and thin gum tissue took part. The goal was to see if the temporary crown helps the gum look more natural around the final implant.
