Pilates and shake: can vibration therapy strengthen aging bones?
NCT ID NCT07460388
First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This small study looked at whether combining Pilates exercises with whole-body vibration could help postmenopausal women improve bone density, muscle strength, balance, and quality of life. Ten women aged 50 to 71 did the program three times a week for 26 weeks. The results were compared to their own earlier data. The study was completed but had no control group and very few participants, so the findings are limited.
