NCT ID NCT07373561
First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study follows 800 adults who survived an ICU stay in Denmark to see how many develop post-intensive care syndrome (PICS) — a condition that can cause physical, thinking, or emotional problems. Researchers will check participants at 3, 6, and 12 months after leaving the hospital using surveys and tests. The goal is to learn how common PICS is and how it changes over time, which can help improve care for future ICU survivors.
