First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at how doctors in Swedish intensive care units (ICUs) make decisions about whether to continue or stop life-sustaining treatment for critically ill children. Researchers will interview 30 specialist physicians to understand their experiences, attitudes, and the ethical challenges they face. The goal is to learn more about what influences these difficult choices, especially in Sweden's unique cultural setting.
