Hands-On hope for locked jaws: study tests therapies for cancer Survivors' pain

NCT ID NCT07151469

Summary

This study tested two different hands-on physical therapy techniques to help head and neck cancer survivors who developed painful, stiff jaws after radiation treatment. Researchers compared a joint mobilization method with a deep tissue muscle release technique in 115 patients. The goal was to see which approach better reduced pain, improved jaw opening, and enhanced daily function and quality of life.
