Summary

This study tests whether a 12-week physical activity program can help teens aged 13–18 with chronic kidney disease (stages II–V) become more active. Participants will wear a Fitbit to track their moderate-to-vigorous exercise. The goal is to see if the program increases daily activity and improves quality of life.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
behavioral intervention to increase physical activity
What this could lead to
If it works, this could show that a simple exercise program helps teens with kidney disease become more active and feel better.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 64 teens, so results may not apply to everyone. The program is short (12 weeks), and long-term benefits are unknown.
