First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looked at 207 older adults (65+) who came to the emergency room with a heart attack or related heart problem. Researchers measured their usual physical activity levels and tracked their health outcomes. They found that people who were more active had fewer serious heart events and were less likely to die. The results suggest that staying active may help protect older adults' hearts after a heart attack.
